R&P founder and managing director Maarten Roos has been invited to present on Chinese business law for the Masterclass China Business series organized by the Unizo Ondernemers Academie. The Chinese business law session will be held on 12 November 2018 from 9.30am to 17.30pm at the Kasteel van Zwijnaarde in Gent, Belgium, and is meant for Flemish companies that are doing business in or with China, or have plans to invest in or do business with Chinese counterparts.
Maarten will be focusing on legal aspects to trade in China, with two main topics:
1) Contracting with Chinese manufacturers, distributors and customers, focusing on the terms of the contract to make it both effective and enforceable; and
2) Legal aspects to sales into China, including sales models, the need (or not) of a Chinese subsidiary, strategies for IP protection, termination strategies and regulator matters.
