Chinese Business Law at Donghua University
This semester, R&P managing director Maarten Roos and legal consultant Robin Tabbers will spend some of their time teaching a group of business students at Donghua University in Shanghai on how to use China's legal system to do business in China.
The course is structured around one of China's premium legal guides, Chinese Commercial Law: A Practical Guide (by Maarten Roos; Kluwer Law 2010), and focuses on various topics including contracts and trading with China, intellectual property rights protection, dispute resolution, establishing companies and corporate governance, and employment law.
With this effort, R&P hopes to prepare the next generation of international managers on how to do business in China in a safe, legal and effective manner.
