Kathleen Cao recently became a member of the Chinese-German Lawyers’ Association (Chinesisch-Deutscher Anwaltverein e.V., CDAV) based in Frankfurt. The Chinese-German Lawyers’ Association facilitates regular contact between Chinese lawyers and their German counterparts, allowing them to exchange information and consult each other on professional matters. By creating a platform for discussion of specific legal matters and wider legal values, the scheme is designed to foster the knowledge transfer necessary to promote a vibrant legal community composed of both Chinese and German legal experts.
