Maarten Roos Engaged as Guest Arbitrator of Third Moot Shanghai
The Third Moot Shanghai was held on March 5-8, 2013. Teams from the United States, Japan, Europe and China gathered in Shanghai to represent their law schools in this competition. At the invitation of the Shanghai Arbitration Commission, founder and managing director of R&P China Lawyers Maarten Roos and the only Dutch arbitrator of SHIAC (CIETAC Shanghai), participated as guest arbitrator.
Moot Shanghai is an annual event that was organized for the first time in 2011. Its purpose is to promote the arbitration cooperation between and training of law students. The best teams in Shanghai will be competing in Vienna during the grand finale. To judge the competitors, experienced arbitrators, barristers, lawyers and academics from all over the world were asked to join. We are very proud that Maarten Roos was invited for this commission, and could contribute to a successful event.
